RClaim helps you store and organize receipts, invoices, subscriptions and expense records. Because these can contain financial, medical, address and tax-related information, we treat them with care. This page summarizes how RClaim handles your data. This is a working draft and will be finalized before public launch.
The original proof you save (photo, PDF, forwarded email, or voice/text note) and the fields our AI extracts from it (merchant, amount, date, line items, etc.). Files are stored in object storage; metadata in our database.
By default, receipts are processed by an external AI provider to extract the details. If you enable Private extraction (a paid option), your receipts are processed on a self-hosted model running on our own infrastructure and are never sent to any third-party AI vendor; that processing container holds no copy of your data after the job and is given no access to our database or storage.
No bank-account connection. No automatic scanning of your email inbox — only messages you forward to your RClaim address are processed. We do not train AI models on your data.
You can export all your records or delete any record (which also removes the stored original) from the app at any time. Sensitive records can be encrypted at rest.
